May I ask you for what do you need it ?

Comment 2 Markus Teuber 2019-10-08 18:34:19 UTC
Thanks for your answer Segio. Sure you may ask ;-)
I use it for what it is programmed: consistant mirroring debian-repos. I use it for wheezy, stretch, buster, but, as it is best practice, not for security-updates.
My usecase is 1. my homelab and 2. for some students and for explaining some people from school GNU/debian Linux. So we can offline install Machines and so on.
My preference to a server-OS is CentOS. Now Centos 8 is out of the door and i want to setup my EL7 servers with new EL8 i openend this case, because this package is available for EL6 and EL7 too.
I don't know if it is many more work for you with the new EL8-builds (streams, modules and so on...), but if it is then close this bug.
My first thought was a simple rpm-package for EL8. Should i try a Fedora28 rpm instead (it is not a good way i think)?

Comment 5 Markus Teuber 2019-11-02 10:01:48 UTC
I tested the installtion and gave karma, but one package is still missing.

dnf --enablerepo=epel-testing install debmirror

Fehler: Problem: conflicting requests - nothing provides perl-Net-INET6Glue needed by debmirror-2.32-1.el8.noarch (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)
