Previously, the regular expression for the oslo.util library was not updated, and it failed to recognize the output format from a newer version of the emulator, qemu (version 4.1.0). This fix in Red Hat OpenStack 16.0 updates the regular expression, and the oslo.util.imageutils library now functions properly.

Description of problem: Advanced Virt 8.1 Beta includes qemu 4.1.0, which has a slight output change.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Stable/stein as of today.

Actual results: Traceback from oslo.utils when using qemu 4.1.0

Hi Greg,

Why did you said that this issue is not fixed in OSP16?

The missing regex was introduced via a new version [1] so I think we can say that this is a bug fix and we don't need a work around but just to update oslo.utils on customers servers.

Thoughts?
