Created attachment 1625161 [details] Image of the warning received. Description of problem: Sometimes the new wayland enabled firefox is unable to securely connect with various websites. Example: https://start.fedoraproject.org. I also noticed it while visiting. https://bugzilla.redhat.com It's almost like it launches improperly. I notice the new firefox with wayland starts up slower with a spinning mouse cursor long after the window has opened. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): firefox-69.0.3-1.fc31.x86_64 How reproducible: It takes a few times of closing and reopening firefox. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set homepage in firefox to a site that uses https like, https://start.fedoraproject.org 2. Close firefox 3. Open firefox Actual results: Sometimes "Did not connect Potential Security Issue" warning appears in firefox Additional info: This happens to me fairly regularly, but I cannot predict when. I am using wayland under gnome and fedora 31 workstation beta.
Can you compare that behavior with X11 Firefox which was default in Fedora 30? Just install firefox-x11 package and use Firefox X11 application.
I have done a fresh install on the same machine and have not been able to re-create this bug. Both the wayland and x11 versions launch and connect just fine. The wayland firefox still launches with a lingering spinning mouse cursor.
