Description of problem:
System lagged a few times, then got really bad.

Felt like it was deadlocked for 2s then the crash popped up.
It seems to be coorelated to when I have a lot of firefox tabs open.

Recently a bad class in one of my projects _did_ deadlock the system and I had to force it off.

Addendum: interactive performance is now very jumpy, against this moderate-to-100% cpu load, with some paging bursts.  There are apparent hangs of up to several seconds - even just for mouse/cursor movement.

Just common dekstop work (Thunderbird, Firefox, emacs, bash, qemu virtual machine with Win10).
With no apparent trigger problem reporting pop-up popped up.

Description of problem:
I use intellij IDEA Ultimate with two instances running respectively a Spring program and an Angular 8. But for a week now, the system crashes. I work and at some point that I have not determined, it crashes and I have to turn off and then turn on the laptop to reuse. I have been using the same computer for the last 8 months and have run more than two, three programs at the same time, but I have never encountered such a problem.

Description of problem:
I was copying some folders from an ext4-formatted external (USB) hard drive to another NTFS-formatted external (USB) hard drive and this error occurred. 
This has happened before but once I converted my External Hard Drives to ext4 everything worked perfectly and much faster at the time of copying.

There might another thing in play: for last two weeks or so my Fedora was quite lazy when the virtual machine was running (working, but w.g. mouse cursor was jumping in big discrete jumps). On October 25-th I found out that memory consumption had increased - I believe it was after som update, because I don't remember adding new system services or making changes in the OS configuration. When I had found only 240MB of free memory on host system I added 8GB memory module. This was after I filed this bug and I system seems to be running smoothly since I inceased the memory.

unknown. I ran updates yesterday and didn't have a chance to reboot before powering down. When I powered up this evening, I hit power and walked off to handle something else. Dell Latitude e7270/corei5.

Another event yesterday; again under paging load.  Different this time: it never came back (I waited 15-20 minutes before giving up and rebooting).
The alternate text consoles were usable, and according to top, ps, and vm-top work was progressing - so it's only the desktop that was frozen.  The mouse-cursor was tracking, but clicks apparently ignored.

Possibly gone away?  I don't think I've seen the symptoms for a while; currently on 5.5.5-200.fc31.x86_64
