I've just upgraded from F30 to F31 and most applications don't see the Terminus font: terminus-fonts-4.48-1.fc31.noarch They are: mousepad, xfce4-terminal, leafpad, hexchat, featherpad, gucharmap and others. The fonts are ostensibly cached and present: # fc-cache -frsv | grep -i term /usr/share/fonts/terminus /usr/share/fonts/terminus: caching, new cache contents: 36 fonts, 0 dirs /usr/share/fonts/terminus: skipping, looped directory detected /usr/share/fonts/terminus /usr/share/fonts/terminus: caching, new cache contents: 36 fonts, 0 dirs /usr/share/fonts/terminus: skipping, looped directory detected # fc-list | grep -i terminus | wc -l 36 # fc-validate /usr/share/fonts/terminus/* | grep "Satisfy the coverage for en language" | wc -l Unable to open /usr/share/fonts/terminus/fonts.dir 36 I'm filing this bug under GTK3 since I don't really understand what the component is and I'm afraid the maintainers of fontcache/terminus-fonts won't help.
I've tried using the terminus-fonts package from F30 to no avail. Meanwhile: $ xlsfonts | grep -i terminus | wc -l 252 Also see bug 1748495
This is absolutely retarded :( I abso-f*cking-lutely hate Gnome 3 developers. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1753295 ***
