Sure. so what do you suggest? as you know we have own fontconfig config in each font packages to give a hint for substitution. this result would simply means there are no monospaced font packages which have Amharic coverage, or which provide a fontconfig config at least. the kind of this issue should goes into font packages.
BTW that wired rendering should be another issue. maybe relevant to new Pango with Harfbuzz.
I cannot reproduce this on F33 anymore.
