Hello, me not sure if this is the correct place where to report the missing packages (nsca + nsca-client) from EPEL8, but I was somewhat directed over here from CentOS forums :) Not sure how I can help othervise, so I'm submitting this "bug". Thanks for your work!
I was hoping for a new upstream release before building nsca for EL8, but upstream has gone missing again, so let's do with 2.9.2. https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/19025 https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/19026
Hello Xavier, thanks for the prompt response! I understand, just want to mention that missing ncsa-client breaks the passive reports in Nagios... for example in our Nagios instance we rely on passive reports for like.. 80% of submitted parameters/metrics.
FEDORA-EPEL-2019-81dcc85726 has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 8. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2019-81dcc85726
Damn that was quick! +1
Once you have tested and everything is ok, if you can give karma to the build, it will reach EPEL 8 stable quicker. Else, once pushed to EPEL 8 testing, it will stay there for 14 days before being pushed to stable.
nsca-2.9.2-8.el8 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 8 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
