Description Hicks 2019-10-31 07:59:08 UTC
Hello,

me not sure if this is the correct place where to report the missing packages (nsca + nsca-client) from EPEL8, but I was somewhat directed over here from CentOS forums :)

Not sure how I can help othervise, so I'm submitting this "bug".

Thanks for your work!

I was hoping for a new upstream release before building nsca for EL8, but upstream has gone missing again, so let's do with 2.9.2.

Hello Xavier,

thanks for the prompt response!

I understand, just want to mention that missing ncsa-client breaks the passive reports in Nagios... for example in our Nagios instance we rely on passive reports for like.. 80% of submitted parameters/metrics.

+1

Comment 5 Xavier Bachelot 2019-10-31 14:55:00 UTC
Once you have tested and everything is ok, if you can give karma to the build, it will reach EPEL 8 stable quicker. Else, once pushed to EPEL 8 testing, it will stay there for 14 days before being pushed to stable.
