Nope, just multiple appliances in the same zone. Adding more zones shouldn't be an issue anyway.
To verify, you will need to verify that all log messages (evm.log) for a same VM migration are on only one appliance.
Not very easy, but the solution I use has already been tested for other kind of tasks in CloudForms, so I'm pretty confident.
