Description Cédric Jeanneret 2019-11-06 07:27:55 UTC
This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #1761867

I am copying this bug because:

Description of problem:

Podman 1.4.2 in RHEL 8.1 has dropped --log-driver json-file; must use --log-driver k8s-file

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
podman-1.4.2-5.module+el8.1.0+4240+893c1ab8.x86_64

How reproducible: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. podman --log-driver json-file [anything else]

Actual results:
"run failed after [conmon:e]: No such log driver json-file"

Expected results: No CLI breakage between minor updates of RHEL

Comment 1 Cédric Jeanneret 2019-11-06 07:44:06 UTC
Checked the file content, they do have the correction. But it might be better to ensure there is no further regression.

Comment 3 Lon Hohberger 2019-11-19 11:07:36 UTC
This was fixed by a backported patch as part of bug 1761867.

The updated NVR fixed herein will be included in z2. The only difference between this and the build in bug 1761867 is that this one has the patch as part of the source tarball, and the other has it as a %patch applied by the RPM specfile.

Comment 8 Cédric Jeanneret 2020-01-06 06:44:47 UTC
Guess this one might be CLOSED... ?
