Description of problem: I have been using cqrlog with wsjt in FT8 mode for a long time, with no problems. I tried to use it today, and got an error dialog: Invalid type cast. Press OK to ignore and risk data corruption. Press Abort to kill the program. This message seems to appear as soon as wsjt sends out its UDP message containing the call signs that have been decoded during receive. If I press "OK" in the error dialog, cqrlog keeps running, but my QSOs are not logged. I ran cqrlog with debugging enabled, and I'll attach the log file. I also posted this bug on the cqrlog forum: https://www.cqrlog.com/node/2352 I tried grepping for the "Invalid type cast" message, but I didn't find that phrase in the cqrlog source, and I also didn't find it in the libraries shown by ldd, so I'm not sure where the message comes from. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): cqrlog-2.3.0-5.fc31.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. start wsjtx and cqrlog 2. put cqrlog in wsjt listening mode 3. when wsjtx sends out its list of decoded call signs, the error dialog pops up. Actual results: as described above Expected results: no error dialog Additional info:

I tried downloading the prebuilt binary of cqrlog, version 2.4.0, from https://github.com/ok2cqr/cqrlog/releases/download/v2.4.0/cqrlog_2.4.0_amd64.tar.gz and it works with wsjtx.
I'm about to submit an update for 2.4.0, please test it and give karma if it fixes the problem.

The new build looks good, and I've left karma. I didn't get any error dialogs. Thanks!

I just received the following message from Saku, which you can read here: https://www.cqrlog.com/comment/7947#comment-7947 HI Steve! I hope they did the build from current source, not from official release. There is a serious bug in official 2.4.0(001) that prevents reports logging with JTDX. Source at Git is up to date and works. -- Saku OH1KH In view of that, I recommend following Saku's recommendation to build with the tip of their git tree, rather than using the cqrlog-2.4.0.tar.gz file.
