We will thanks - unfortunately ghc is not ready yet for EPEL8... In the meantime maybe you can try my epel7 copr or a fedora build.
EPEL8 appears to have ghc now. Can this be revisited?

I am not sure what happened but looks like the ghc package is broken :-( So I need to look into it hmm... I hadn't seen this before. Sorry I was talking nonsense - you are correct indeed: the current ghc build does have profiling libs. Actually my plan is to move ghc to 8.4.4 first, but it has been taking me too long, sorry.
