Description Yanko Kaneti 2019-11-15 09:00:48 UTC
Without a font providing U+2B9A there is the default boxy hex gtk fallback in the main UI during a game.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.33.90+

Maybe?
Requires: (gdouros-symbola-fonts or unifont)

Oooh, it got prettier.

Maybe we just shouldn't use this character.

Hello everybody. Upstream maintainer here (in case you forgot ;·)).

I’ve found this bug report only last week (checking the Web), but had discovered this problem some time ago when changing computer; and considered by then that it should be fixed in the code (and not by relying on the installed fonts, as this was definitively a bad idea; my mistake). Bad coordination here, sadly: the font requirement is not necessary anymore for the development version (future 3.35.90 unstable, and 3.36 stable releases); so the only version impacted is the current 3.34.n stable release from Fedora 31. Sorry for the work done in Rawhide. :·( But I hope you’ll enjoy the various changes.

Regards,
Arnaud
