Comment 1 Danilo de Paula 2019-11-15 16:35:02 UTC
Max, in case the fix for this is already upstream in qemu-4.2, just add the keywork: "TestOnly", move it to POST and set Fixed-In: qemu-4.2

Comment 9 Danilo de Paula 2019-12-18 15:48:07 UTC
Due to the TestOnly flag, this BZ will be moved to ON_QA manually and won't be included in the errata.

Comment 12 qing.wang 2019-12-19 08:32:00 UTC
I run 20 times cdrom installation , no issue found.
ConfigTest.py --testcase=unattended_install.cdrom.extra_cdrom_ks.default_install.aio_native --driveformat=virtio_blk,virtio_scsi --guestname=RHEL.8.2.0 --nrepeat=10

In my understanding, This issue is not related to url or cdrom installation, right ?

That’s correct, it’s only about installing to an aio_native image on an XFS host.

(Max - Just FWIW, the original kernel bug #1765547 will also be fixed in RHEL8.2.)

Comment 16 Ademar Reis 2020-02-05 23:08:28 UTC
QEMU has been recently split into sub-components and as a one-time operation to avoid breakage of tools, we are setting the QEMU sub-component of this BZ to "General". Please review and change the sub-component if necessary the next time you review this BZ. Thanks
