Max, in case the fix for this is already upstream in qemu-4.2, just add the keywork: "TestOnly", move it to POST and set Fixed-In: qemu-4.2
Due to the TestOnly flag, this BZ will be moved to ON_QA manually and won't be included in the errata.
I run 20 times cdrom installation , no issue found. ConfigTest.py --testcase=unattended_install.cdrom.extra_cdrom_ks.default_install.aio_native --driveformat=virtio_blk,virtio_scsi --guestname=RHEL.8.2.0 --nrepeat=10 In my understanding, This issue is not related to url or cdrom installation, right ?
(In reply to qing.wang from comment #12) > In my understanding, This issue is not related to url or cdrom > installation, right ? That’s correct, it’s only about installing to an aio_native image on an XFS host. Max
(Max - Just FWIW, the original kernel bug #1765547 will also be fixed in RHEL8.2.)
(In reply to Eric Sandeen from comment #14) > (Max - Just FWIW, the original kernel bug #1765547 will also be fixed in > RHEL8.2.) Great! :-) Max
QEMU has been recently split into sub-components and as a one-time operation to avoid breakage of tools, we are setting the QEMU sub-component of this BZ to "General". Please review and change the sub-component if necessary the next time you review this BZ. Thanks
