XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 cura

the main window shows up

Comment 2 Gabriel Féron 2019-11-21 09:01:24 UTC
Interesting! I thought it was an issue with my staged Cura 4.3.0 and I didn't think of testing the current version. I guess for now I'll just stage Cura 4.4.0 with this environment variable set, and will try to figure out a way to patch it afterwards for a later release.

Filed an issue upstream https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/6786

Keeping this open to track a proper fix.

Comment 5 Erick 2019-12-14 12:08:45 UTC
Gabriel is there an ETA for adding the XDG_SESSION_TYPE environment variable into the cura script?

Cura 4.4 is staged for Fedora 32, maybe we should push it as an update in Fedora 31? (see: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1421200)
