Can't add search engines to firefox

Description of problem:
When I try and add a search engine to firefox nothing gets added.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on search icon in search box.
2. Select "Add Engines..."
3. Select a search engine from newly loaded web page.
Search engine is not added.
Search engine should be added.
Since this bugzilla report was filed, we have seriously upgraded Gecko-related

This is working for Firefox 188.8.131.52. I tried to resolve this issue but it
won't let me even though I am the reporter.
