Document URL: https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.2/cnv/cnv_install/preparing-cluster-for-cnv.html Section Number and Name: Preparing your cluster for container-native virtualization Describe the issue: Currently we detail what the OpenShift cluster should look like to be ready for CNV. This assumes the user actually has an OpenShift cluster. Suggestions for improvement: We probably need to highlight the ability to get an OpenShift evaluation for those who don't, which includes access to CNV: https://www.openshift.com/trial/
This is a brief amendment to the opening page on installing/configuring CNV. The new content is: "To obtain an evaluation version of OpenShift Container Platform, download a trial from the OpenShift Container Platform home page." I wanted to avoid a hard URL (best practice) and make this as generic as possible. Indeed, the first page that appears when a user selects O/S is an option to download the product (as it should be :-)) Test Build: http://file.bos.redhat.com/bgaydos/121019/cnv/cnv_install/preparing-cluster-for-cnv.html PR: https://github.com/openshift/openshift-docs/pull/18539 Bob
I believe a new line should be in the end of the page, i.e after "Monitoring is configured in the cluster." line. Since first, we say what CNV works with/requires, and then that one can get a trial version of it and how/where.
Moving this to verified as per offline discussion. Thanks.
