Hello, We are working on bringing multiple perl packages into a 'upstream' (EPEL) which we use internally (at GoodData). This package is one of many which have builds in Fedora Rawhide but lacks EPEL8 branch. We would like to request it and help you to maintain the package (incl. Fedora Rawhide). Please add us to a maintainer list for the package perl-Digest-MD5-File. Our FAS usernames are: - tjmc - kubo Thanks for the cooperation in advance!
This package already exists in EPEL-8: https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/8/Everything/x86_64/Packages/p/perl-Digest-Perl-MD5-1.9-18.el8.noarch.rpm Do you still want co-maint?
Yes, sure. The package list was given to me by my colleagues based on old-ish data (like 2-3 weeks ago) so some packages definitely might be already built :)
(In reply to Igor Gnatenko from comment #2) > Yes, sure. > > The package list was given to me by my colleagues based on old-ish data > (like 2-3 weeks ago) so some packages definitely might be already built :) Older than that actually. This one was pushed to stable on 25th October: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1759040#c4 I've added tjmc and kubo with commit access. There won't be much to do, the last upstream release was in 2013.
Hi Paul, sorry for reaction in such old ticket, just a question. The original request was made to `perl-Digest-MD5-File`, you mentioned build and granted access to `perl-Digest-Perl-MD5`. The package from request still does not exist in EPEL8, could you grant us access there too (or sent it there), please?
Whoops, sorry about that! I'll do the branch+bould ASAP; let me know if you want co-maint too. https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/25902 https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/25903

Thanks for the superfast response :) We don't need to be maintainers if you don't need help with EPEL8.
