Description Paulo Fidalgo 2019-12-16 15:56:27 UTC
After installing spectable, if I try to run it from Krunner it will display the message: "Could not find the program 'qdbus'"

I've dug in and found out the package in the file /usr/share/applications/org.kde.spectacle.desktop have the following line:

Exec=qdbus org.kde.Spectacle / StartAgent

which I think is wrong, because running it from the command line with just "spectacle" works as expected.

Comment 1 Rex Dieter 2019-12-16 16:40:54 UTC
That does seem odd/silly that upstream would default to dbus activation instead of simply launching the executable.

I'll look into it

Comment 2 Rex Dieter 2019-12-16 16:49:28 UTC
Origin of the change,
https://phabricator.kde.org/D19225

Will patch things to use qdbus-qt5 instead (for now)
