After installing spectable, if I try to run it from Krunner it will display the message: "Could not find the program 'qdbus'" I've dug in and found out the package in the file /usr/share/applications/org.kde.spectacle.desktop have the following line: Exec=qdbus org.kde.Spectacle / StartAgent which I think is wrong, because running it from the command line with just "spectacle" works as expected.
That does seem odd/silly that upstream would default to dbus activation instead of simply launching the executable. I'll look into it
Origin of the change, https://phabricator.kde.org/D19225 Will patch things to use qdbus-qt5 instead (for now) %changelog * Mon Dec 16 2019 Rex Dieter <rdieter> - 19.08.3-2 - fix dbus activation in org.kde.spectacle..desktop (#1784068)
Upstream issue seems to be : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413007
Yes, thanks for finding that.
