Description Derek Schrock 2019-12-17 14:58:00 UTC
Description of problem: epel7's ccache is currently at 3.3.4 the latest release is 3.7.6. ccache 3.4 added support for distcc's pump mode which is what we're currently attempting to support. Can ccache be updated to 3.7.6? If not and 3.5/6/7 breaks EPEL update policy but 3.4 doesn't can ccache be updated to at least 3.4.3 (last 3.4.x release).

Reviewing ccache release notes [1] it appears there aren't any breaking changes in 3.4/5/6/7 from my understanding of the EPEL update policy.
