To create a custom job template and it should give a list of activation key for a user to select from and execute a job accordingly. Monitor >> Job >> Run job --> the user should run the custom job created by him with below details Hosts >> Job Templates >> Create a new yaml template. * Input Type : User input * Value Type : search Resource Type : activation key Now while running the job the user should get a list of activation key available from satellite so that he can select a key and then run the job accordingly. As said: the above is possible but with the below type of job template: * Input Type : User input * Value Type : Plain There is a "Options" textbox below where you can manually enter the name of activation keys , one in every new line and these will be available as dropdown while running the job. ( the requirement is not to enter the activation key list manually in the job template) Created attachment 1646857 [details]
Demo of the bug
The feature to use in a job template the "Input Type" -> "User input" and "Value Type" -> "Search" is not working.
This is not a feature enhancement, it's a bug. Any update on this? Tks Upon review of our valid but aging backlog the Satellite Team has concluded that this Bugzilla does not meet the criteria for a resolution in the near term, and are planning to close in a month. This message may be a repeat of a previous update and the bug is again being considered to be closed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact your Red Hat Account team. Thank you. Thank you for your interest in Red Hat Satellite. We have evaluated this request, and while we recognize that it is a valid request, we do not expect this to be implemented in the product in the foreseeable future. This is due to other priorities for the product, and not a reflection on the request itself. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this feel free to contact your Red Hat Account Team. Thank you. The needinfo request[s] on this closed bug have been removed as they have been unresolved for 500 days |
