Similar problem has been detected: I plugged in a mobile phone via USB (MTP). I walked away from my screen. Caja failed to mount the phone, repeatedly trying every second. I ended up with ~100 dialogs telling me of the failure. Marco crashed when I was trying to close all the dialogs. I suspect there are really two bugs in this: 1) marco shouldn't crash with 100 windows open, 2) caja (or whatever underlying component is handling the MTP mounts) shouldn't spam me with dialogs. reporter: libreport-2.12.0 backtrace_rating: 4 cgroup: 0::/user.slice/user-1000.slice/session-2.scope cmdline: marco crash_function: meta_frame_get_frame_bounds executable: /usr/bin/marco journald_cursor: s=cb5fdea3063642ba838bcf74b09efc33;i=221b5;b=b3737f95faee4e1eab1518635ce53c04;m=21e331e2;t=5a1a96afac28c;x=8bd201e86597a4f2 kernel: 5.5.10-200.fc31.x86_64 package: marco-1.22.4-1.fc31 reason: marco killed by SIGSEGV rootdir: / runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 xsession_errors:
Please read reports before filing out an comment for an obsolete version of marco. Fixed by: FEDORA-2020-d2704b9080 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 31. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-d2704b9080
(In reply to Wolfgang Ulbrich from comment #20) > Please read reports before filing out an comment for an obsolete version of > marco. The choice of bug was made by the system problem reporter. I believe my version of marco is up to date against Fedora 31, excluding testing repositories -- which I'm not so keen to use on a production machine. Please let me know if I'm doing something wrong by using Fedora's in-built problem reporter. Thank you.
Than you have to live with the bug , if you don't want to use `dnf update marco* --enablerepo updates-testing`
