It's a dependency of a tool that was requested to be added to EPEL8. Feel free to add me (fab) as co-maintainer if you don't want to do it yourself. Thanks.
Hello Fabian. I'm no longer active in Fedora/EPEL packaging community for more than 2 years. How can I remove myself from this package and probably also all other packages? I'll gladly re-assign my ownerships as needed, but I'm unable to find how. What I've already tried: https://apps.fedoraproject.org/packages/s/python-bottle - no login button there https://src.fedoraproject.org/browse/projects/ - unable to sign in even after password reset
btw, at this one I see Rahul Sundaram as owner, so maybe he will be able to help you https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-bottle
I managed to reset FAS account, so I can access https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-bottle logged in, but still I don't see there anywhere my relation to this package nor a way how to re-assign anything
I sent an e-mail to bugzilla-requests asking them to change default assignee of this package in EPEL to you. Hoping it helps, Michel
the e-mail returned with error :(
The owner seems to be sundaram according to src.fpo
He is in the CC list.
Any update on getting this built for EPEL8?
let's see what happens now ! https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/25184 https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/25185
(In reply to Fabian Affolter from comment #6) Are you able to send a pull request upgrading it to latest version and making spec file compatible with epel 8 ?

Can the maintainer create the epel8 and epel8-playground branches?
I mailed the package owner, but I never got an reply. should we file a non responsive maintainer ticket ? Only Raul can request new branches as he is the sole person with access beside the proven packagers.
Very embarrassing, his name is Rahul and not Raul. Sorry for that. (In reply to Itamar Reis Peixoto from comment #13) > I mailed the package owner, but I never got an reply. > > should we file a non responsive maintainer ticket ? Would be only way to get access. I wrote Rahul also a message to his email address that is available in FAS.
Rahul sent me a response. Thus, not need for the non-responsive maintainer process.
(In reply to Fabian Affolter from comment #16) > Rahul sent me a response. Thus, not need for the non-responsive maintainer > process. what he said ?
This bug has been open for over a year now with no response from the maintainer. Current upstream is bottle 0.12.9, which addresses some security issues, so should be updated everywhere. This being missing from EPEL is a pain, and there are volunteers will to provide the necessary commits here. Did anyone get in touch with the maintainer? What are the next steps?
