Similar problem has been detected: A notebook Dell e7470, may have something to do with not executing 'suspend' when the lid is closed. systemctl suspend works, I can close the lid and when opened notebook resumes fine. reporter: libreport-2.11.3 backtrace_rating: 4 cgroup: 0::/user.slice/user-42.slice/user/gnome-shell-x11.service cmdline: ibus-daemon --panel disable crash_function: bus_server_init executable: /usr/bin/ibus-daemon journald_cursor: s=e28d5da13a3947b6aa7d4822e539c7cd;i=311a;b=071d8e7816744549bc282ad91f47bb3b;m=f242bb;t=59cb7250a7f99;x=9662be4fc2d94c0f kernel: 5.4.12-200.fc31.x86_64 package: ibus-1.5.21-7.fc31 reason: ibus-daemon killed by SIGTRAP rootdir: / runlevel: unknown type: CCpp uid: 42
From your backtrace, gdm user have no permission to `mkdir -p /var/lib/gdm/.cache/ibus` . Do you saw your problem in the first boot after the Fedora installation? Or Do you saw your problem whenever you reboot your system? I guess you have '/var/lib/gdm` after the first login and you no longer see the problem.
