The current QEMU release (4.2.0) contains some bugs causing issues inside RISC-V guest VMs. These were reported/confirmed by Debian/RISCV, SiFive and Fedora/RISCV at least.

I would like to backport fixes already merged upstream.

Fedora/RISCV infrastructure depends on

  https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/virtmaint-sig/virt-preview/

but I cannot update our ~150 builders until these issues are solved.

I or Richard Jones will propose a patch for QEMU in Fedora Rawhide.

The 5 patches cleanly apply to qemu 4.2.0, so I will do a build
including these patches later.
