Comment 1 Mauro Oddi 2020-01-29 18:18:15 UTC
Steps to Reproduce:
 1. Boot instance from image and create boot volume
 2. Create image from the the instance
 3. Create a second instance from the new image
4, Delete the instance just created
5, Try to delete the snapshot

Expected Result:
Should delete the snapshot

Actual Result:
It fails with the following error:
2019-11-28 10:21:26.210 63 ERROR cinder.volume.manager [req-ce59d7a8-4061-42d3-b4e4-5ef5e2538136 fde3a8d8d2ea49a68244ff7dfecda969 9ac71c235b15485da8e84bccae2f14e2 - default default] Delete snapshot failed, due to snapshot busy.: SnapshotIsBusy: deleting snapshot snapshot-c47eb196-9fd2-45ae-8507-9613f0754169 that has dependent volumes

Comment 5 Luigi Toscano 2020-09-21 10:51:49 UTC
OSP15 is now EOL. The follow-up for this bug (another instance of "limitations when dealing with non flattened volumes") is its OSP13 clone, bug 1791829 .
