Description of problem:

kernel-2.6.15-1.1830_FC4 ignores the 'quiet' option, always providing verbose
output.

1.Boot with quiet option
2.Observe verbose log messages

Actual results:

quiet option ignored

Expected results:

verbose messages suppressed

Tested on i686, x86_64 and ppc

debug option got left on :-(

already fixed in cvs.

This is happening in kernel-2.6.15-1.1909_FC5 (rawhide) too.  Is it intentional
in rawhide?

yes it's deliberate in rawhide. (so I don't have to walk people through how to
disable it in grub time after time).

This is fixed in 2.6.15-1.1831_FC4 pushed out a few hours ago.
