Description Michael McConachie 1999-03-25 23:45:07 UTC
The 5.9.1 rpm for mc-4.5.27 segfaults and coredumps when
started. I got curious and tried recompiling (from the
source rpm in rawhide) it on my machine (upgraded from 5.2->
5.8-> 5.9.1) and the compile died.

At first, it was while compiling the SLang libs but I
switched to ncurses and then it would die while compiling
the gnome support.

mc-4.5.27-3 works here. If you can get us a gdb backtrace from the
core file, we may be able to help you diagnose your problem better.
