Description of problem: the default printer for the system set with lpoptions is being ignored The default printer is entered into /etc/cups/lpoptions as can be expected. Yet programs like libreoffice show a different printer as the default printer. This has been working before upgrading from Fedora 30. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: upgrade from Fedora 30 to 31 Steps to Reproduce: 1. as root: lpoptions -d <printername> 2. start libreoffice and print a document 3. Actual results: the setting of the default printer is being ignored Expected results: the default printer for all users should be correctly set Additional info: Cups is running on a different server which is specified in /etc/cups/client.conf . The the same printer as on the client has been specified as the default printer on the server just in case.
Hi, thank you for reporting the issue! I was able to reproduce it even in F30 since it has the same version as F31 by: $ lpoptions -d <print-queue> $ lpoptions (no output)
