Description Gal Zaidman 2020-04-03 11:49:57 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1820305 +++

Due to BZ#1794714 We have added a MachineConfig to disable tx checksum offload on https://github.com/openshift/machine-config-operator/pull/1606.
This needs to be removed when the Bug is resolved.

Comment 2 Steve Milner 2020-04-22 13:38:36 UTC
No update received. Closing this instance of the bug.

Comment 3 Gal Zaidman 2020-04-23 08:19:14 UTC
Steve Sorry for not responding, I was at PTO for part of that time and I missed the need info.
The workaround is merged and verified, it fixed some of tests and but some still fail.
We need to track the removal of the workaround

Comment 4 Steve Milner 2020-04-24 20:54:59 UTC
I think I found the merged PR. If it's https://github.com/openshift/machine-config-operator/pull/1628 then let's get this bug into VERIFIED so the bot picks up and updates the release information.

Comment 5 Gal Zaidman 2020-05-21 07:03:04 UTC
This bug is for tracking the removal of the workaround.
The kernel bug should be resolved on kernel-4.18.0-202.el8 from [1].
Once we will have RCHOS with it the tests should pass and we can remove that workaround.
It looks like it will be in on RHEL 8.3, this should be on NEW since we are not removing it at the moment.

All tracked bugs are in verified state, anything left to be done here?

Comment 9 Gal Zaidman 2020-09-29 06:30:27 UTC
Well we didn't remove it from 4.4 and 4.5,
But I don't think we have any capacity for testing that right now :/
So I vote for closing it

Comment 10 Michelle Krejci 2020-10-05 21:03:31 UTC
This bug has been moved for two releases. I am closing for now.
