Description of problem: Please build python-paste-script for EPEL8. Let me know, if you need any help. Thank you.
It looks like the Python 2 subpackage won't build (or be usable) on EPEL8: [...] Error: Problem: package python2-paste-deploy-2.0.1-1.el8.noarch requires python2-paste, but none of the providers can be installed - conflicting requests - nothing provides python2-pyOpenSSL needed by python2-paste-3.0.8-1.el8.1.noarch It doesn't seem wise to add a new Python 2 package at this point anyway. The Python 3 package seems to be fine. I have requested an epel8 branch for it.
Yes, python2 upstream is end of life. I think there is no need to build python2 packages in RHEL8+ / Fedora 32+ anymore.
