Created attachment 1679806 [details] Screenshot where to find the mistranslation Description of problem: The text "Kabelgebunden verbunden" in German makes no sense. It should be "Internetverbindung an" and "Internetverbindung aus" instead if "Kabelgebunden ausgeschaltet" Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Cent OS 8 8.1.1911 (Core) How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on top right 2. See the text in German 3. Actual results: Text "Kabelverbunden an" Text "Kabelverbunden ausgeschaltet" Expected results: Text "Internetverbindung an" Text "Internetverbindung aus" Additional info:
I kindly disagree. A cabled network connection is not necessarily the same like an Internet connection, given there are also wireless connections or mobile networks.
The only thing i would do, is to change "Kabelverbunden" to "Kabelgebunden"
I propose "Kabel verbunden" and "Kabel nicht verbunden" as proper translations.
Thank you. I am using it on a virtual machine so maybe it doesn't recognize that I am using Wifi. Does "Kabel"sound natural to you rather than LAN? But in my opinion the proposal of Dominic Hopf is already fine!
In my opinion "Kabel" is quite natural as a term for Ethernet connections in German language, yes. If you need some alternatives, I guess the following might also work: "Ethernet verbunden" - "Ethernet nicht verbunden" "LAN verbunden" - "LAN nicht verbunden"
So will the mistranslation be changed at some point? The current text is still not correct.
