Description of problem: Only a few extensions for nemo are included to nemo-extensions package. For instance the 'nemo-media-column' extension is missing. Actual results: I have to get the nemo-media-column extension working manually. Expected results: nemo-media-column extension is installed together with nemo-extensions rpm
I have no interest in packaging nemo-media-column
@leigh scott why not? This is a very useful extension. Very common use cases are: - show creation date of images, for instance vacation pictures - show meta information for music collections to get a better overview - order your files without renaming everything

It's causes excessive load in nemo https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo-extensions/issues/354 > > Very common use cases are: > - show creation date of images, for instance vacation pictures > - show meta information for music collections to get a better overview > - order your files without renaming everything

This issue only occurs with a few specific PDFs, in most use cases this extension is simply working. Of course showing EXIF data is slower than not showing EXIF data, but I think the user could simply decide himself whether he needs the features of this extension or not. Maybe there is a way to include the nemo-media-columns extension but disable it per default? Then the user has to decide explicitly that he wants to use the extension by enabling it in nemo settings.
