Description David Marchand 2020-04-20 13:24:29 UTC
There is work upstream on getting a custom tracing framework as part of the DPDK.

This is still in an early state and will ask for more work, this bz is to track this.

Comment 2 David Marchand 2022-11-21 10:45:39 UTC
The DPDK framework is only for the userspace datapath (when using DPDK).
It has a number of limitations and is not well integrated with the existing ecosystem (read: when compared to perf / bpftrace and others).

Other tracing tool can already be used, so closing this bz.
