There's a known bug in kernel 5.6.5 which causes systems with AMD graphics adapters (not sure if it's really all amdgpu-supported adapters, or some subset) to hang on reboot. This bug was introduced in 5.6.5, so by pulling 5.6.5 into the F32 RCs to fix https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1825046 , we broke this. Some users reported running into this bug in the 5.6.5 update: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-bebcd88161#comment-1336683 https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-bebcd88161#comment-1337339 I'm filing this bug for consideration as an FE so we can pull 5.6.6 into the RC-1.5 compose instead and hopefully have both bugs fixed and no new ones introduced (crosses all available digits). We have a 5.6.6 build in Koji already.
+1 FE
I would certainly consider this FE worthy, the kernel is built and submitted for testing, also as the rebase for F31, so it should get a decent amount of testing.
That's +3 or +4 (if I count myself), setting accepted.
Unfortunately we have to fire the RC like, right now, so we can't wait on testing first :/ we'll just build it and hope it's good! what could possibly go wrong (don't answer that)
