Description of problem: When using a large dataset for rbldnsd-0.998-1.el7.x86_64, it consumes all available memory on start-up and crashes with the message: rbldnsd: out of memory This turns out to be due to a known bug - https://github.com/spamhaus/rbldnsd/commit/a1295eefc78b6e8a3c220e164dbfad6dbecc6f6e The above patch solves the issue. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rbldnsd-0.998-1.el7.x86_64 How reproducible: Every time with specific large dataset. Unfortunately this specific dataset cannot be shared, as it has been purchased from a third party. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a large dataset (zone) 2. Start rbldnsd Actual results: rbldnsd crashes with "out of memory" message Expected results: rbldnsd should not run out of memory (the server has plenty of memory for the dataset) Additional info:
Hmm, hadn't noticed that there was a new upstream for this. I'll push an update shortly, and do an EPEL-8 version too.
