""" Then I would expect that the package is updated more or less weekly on Fedora stable (I'm running version 32). But the last update was in April, 5 weeks ago. Changelog in the spec shows that it's updated every 2 months and something: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/appstream-data/blob/master/f/appstream-data.spec#_48 Perhaps the description should be changed to reflect the real frequency of update?

As far as I know, the appstream-data is built manually. For example, the last appstream-data for F36 was built in March 2022, see bz#2091665.
