Description Igor Raits 2020-05-29 14:36:40 UTC
Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (ignatenkobrain).

Your package (python-language-server) Fails To Install in Fedora 33:

can't install python3-language-server:
  - nothing provides (python3.8dist(jedi) < 0.16 with python3.8dist(jedi) >= 0.14.1) needed by python3-language-server-0.31.10-3.fc33.noarch
  - nothing provides python3.8dist(setuptools) needed by python3-language-server-0.31.10-3.fc33.noarch
  - nothing provides python3.8dist(pluggy) needed by python3-language-server-0.31.10-3.fc33.noarch
  - nothing provides python3.8dist(ujson) needed by python3-language-server-0.31.10-3.fc33.noarch

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors.

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/rawhide-gating/multi-builds/

Thanks!

This is probably down the dependency chain ...

Once those packages are built, this should be fixed as well.

With all the requires built, pyls is now failing

Comment 3 Igor Raits 2020-06-08 06:59:08 UTC
Hello,

This is the first reminder (step 3 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs).

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

Comment 4 Mukundan Ragavan 2020-06-08 19:00:45 UTC
Depends on this https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1841801 (indirectly)

Comment 5 Mukundan Ragavan 2020-06-24 23:35:03 UTC
This is one of the last packages left on py3.9 rebuild list. Any help to fix the failing tests is appreciated.

I have not filed an upstream bug report.

Comment 6 Miro Hrončok 2020-06-25 07:49:27 UTC
I think upstream is the best place to get help to fix the failing tests.

Comment 7 Igor Raits 2020-06-29 20:21:26 UTC
Hello,

This is the second reminder (step 4 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs).

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

Comment 8 Mukundan Ragavan 2020-06-29 22:37:24 UTC
built on rawhide. disabled failing test until I get a response from upstream.
