Description Igor Raits 2020-05-29 14:38:23 UTC
Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (ignatenkobrain).

Your package (python-trezor) Fails To Install in Fedora 33:

can't install python3-trezor:
  - nothing provides python3dist(hidapi) >= 0.7.99.post20 needed by python3-trezor-0.11.5-3.fc33.noarch

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors.

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/rawhide-gating/multi-builds/

Thanks!

Hello,

This is the first reminder (step 3 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs).

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

Comment 2 Miro Hrončok 2020-06-26 08:53:20 UTC
python3-hidapi provides python3dist(hidapi) = 0.7.99^post20

You might need to update the manual dependency a bit.

Hello,

This is the second reminder (step 4 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs).

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

When building python-hidapi it provides this, I find it strage that python-trezor does not match the last line:

jonny@jonny-thinkpad ~/fedora-scm/python-hidapi (master) {12.16.1} $ rpm -q --provides -p results_python-hidapi/0.7.99.post20/16.fc33/python3-hidapi-0.7.99.post20-16.fc33.x86_64.rpm
python-hidapi = 0.7.99.post20-16.fc33
python3-hidapi = 0.7.99.post20-16.fc33
python3-hidapi(x86-64) = 0.7.99.post20-16.fc33
python3.9-hidapi = 0.7.99.post20-16.fc33
python3.9dist(hidapi) = 0.7.99^post20
python3dist(hidapi) = 0.7.99^post20

Comment 5 Jonny Heggheim 2020-07-10 10:34:58 UTC
Ah, of course...
python3dist(hidapi) = 0.7.99.post20
python3dist(hidapi) = 0.7.99^post20

Will look into why it have been changed between Fedora 33/32 and python-trezor 0.11/0.12

Comment 6 Jonny Heggheim 2020-07-10 11:00:59 UTC
python-trezor-0.12.0-2.fc33 should work on rawhide

The dependency generator was reworked a bit in Fedora 33. This is one of the changes. Sorry for the trouble.

Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (ignatenkobrain).

All subpackages of a package against which this bug was filled are now installable or removed from Fedora 33.

Thanks for taking care of it!
