RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Robert Scheck 2020-06-02 23:57:03 UTC
Description of problem:
As of writing, RHEL 8 does not ship a twolame-devel package, which prevents from building some software components requiring twolame-devel, such as baresip-mpa.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
twolame-libs-0.3.13-11.el8

How reproducible:
Always, see above and below.

Actual results:
No twolame-devel package.

Expected results:
Existence of a twolame-devel package.

May I kindly ask for a public status update? Will this definitely be resolved for RHEL 8.3? Or do you need a formal business justification and/or escalation request via GSS? If so, please let me know.

You will need a business justification and request an exception to get this
in rhel 8.3 at this point.

Cross-filed case 02840771 for missing -devel package at the Red Hat customer portal. And could somebody please remove the view restriction of this bug report for only Red Hat groups?

Josh, do you see any chance to get this moved forward (similar like bug #1895872) or at least a rough ETA? GSS/CEE just asks repeatedly for more patience...

The package is available in CentOS Stream today:

http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-stream/PowerTools/x86_64/os/Packages/twolame-devel-0.3.13-12.el8.x86_64.rpm

It will be released with RHEL in the next minor release which should be late April/early May.

EPEL doesn't seem to use CentOS 8 Stream, but RHEL 8...at least EPEL 8 builds are still failing. But fortunately the next minor release doesn't seem to be that far away.
