Description of problem: Connection is slowing down over time and often drops completely (I cannot even ping gateway). Restarting network-manager helps for a while. It fails faster if under heavy usage (like downloading multiple large files). lspci shows: 02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 31) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): linux-firmware-20200519-108.fc32.noarch Additional info: I didn’t have this problem in Fedora 31 and I upgraded right after F32 release. I tried several versions available either in repos or koji, but I haven’t find working version. I tried various workarounds related to power management, but none worked. Finally I found working version following this comment: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?p=1784874#p1784874 I.e. disabling version 6 firmware and manually downloading (and using) this version: firmware ver CNSS.TF.1.0-00267-QCATFSWPZ-1 api 5 features ignore-otp crc32 d6b81b3c So I guess it’s a regression.
I find firmware CNSS.TF.1.0-00267-QCATFSWPZ-1 can cause rather large latencies (spinning in kernel, temporary display freeze) when turning the adapter on or off (more when turning off). There's also some latency in WLAN.TF.2.1-00021-QCARMSWP-1, but shorter -- usually more noticeable when turning on.
