This has been said before and perhaps I'm getting a bit frustrated, but can't
you please agree with the Debian project on a packet format? I would love to be
able to release just one Linux packet, and I believe it would be very good for
Linux as a whole to have a standard. It can't be that hard to agree on something
everybody's satisfied with, can it?

(Yes, I do realize that there's a lot more to it that just the packet format,
but it would be a really good start. And, yes, I know there's been attempts to
standardize this in the past, but as long as nobody uses it there's little point.)
