Description of problem: Users that installed OCP on RHV in the 4.5 version will likely to upgrade to 4.6 version. IMO, would be nice to test the upgrade flow and document in our page or link to OCP page. Pre-requirement: Have a recent etcd backup in case your upgrade fails and you must restore your cluster to a previous state. https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.4/backup_and_restore/backing-up-etcd.html#backup-etcd More info: https://docs.openshift.com/container-platform/4.4/updating/updating-cluster.html
Tested on: openshift-4.5.0-0.nightly-2020-10-03-045843 to openshift-4.6.0-0.nightly-2020-10-03-051134 Steps: 1. # 2. # oc adm upgrade --allow-explicit-upgrade --force --to-image registry.svc.ci.openshift.org/ocp/release:4.6.0-0.nightly-2020-10-03-051134 3. # oc get clusterversion NAME VERSION AVAILABLE PROGRESSING SINCE STATUS version 4.6.0-0.nightly-2020-10-03-051134 True False 2m45s Cluster version is 4.6.0-0.nightly-2020-10-03-051134
