Description of problem: kdiff3 1.8.1 has a couple of reproducible segfault crashes, the most annoying one is that it crashes whenever you use horizontal scrolling. These are fixed in 1.8.2 (https://download.kde.org/stable/kdiff3/kdiff3-1.8.2.tar.xz) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.8.1 / Fedora Core 32 How reproducible: All the time Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install kdiff3 2. Open kdiff3 and compare two folders 3. Do a horizontal scroll Actual results: The application segfaults Expected results: The application doesn't segfault Additional info: Fixed upstream, you only need to provide an updated package
It is still not updated because I don't see any release in kdiff3 git https://invent.kde.org/sdk/kdiff3
Probably they forgot to add it as a release there, the readme mentiones 1.8.2 and it is packaged and available at https://download.kde.org/stable/kdiff3/kdiff3-1.8.2.tar.xz, a couple of distributions picked it up, others didn't yet, probably for the same reason.
Thanks. I reported to upstream. Builds will be soon.
