Similarly I've confirmed via https://openshift-release.apps.ci.l2s4.p1.openshiftapps.com/releasestream/4.6.0-0.nightly/release/4.6.0-0.nightly-2020-06-23-220540?from=4.5.0-0.nightly-2020-06-24-173405 that 4.6.0-0.nightly-2020-06-23-220540 and later has these changes. Moving to ON_QA Already in direct conversation with Jeremy Poulin and Rene Jose on their efforts to validate the nightly in the same way we validated the custom payloads out of the PRs branch.
Going to reverify this post the 4.5 backport since our 4.6 deployments were having stability issues.
Planning to start this verification work today.
I have clusters to test this, but this appears to be blocked by: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1868445
We are currently blocked on this bug by https://projects.engineering.redhat.com/browse/CLOUDBLD-2480. I've made a note in that ticket, so hopefully we can resolve both issues in the upcoming sprint.
I was able to verify this on s390x. My power deploy is giving me a bit of trouble, but I can hopefully finish it tomorrow.
So just as it was during development, the full image ecosystem still has a high failure rate on pp64le due to the mysql image tests. When run individually, though, these tests pass without issue. To me this suggests that we'll need to monitor our CI environment for resource bottlenecks and possible tweak the timeouts in these tests to get consistently green builds. However, I would consider this issue to be verified, since I was able to get every test in both test suites passing on P & Z.
