Description Igor Raits 2020-06-29 20:18:30 UTC
Hello,

Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (ignatenkobrain).

Your package (nodejs-svgo) Fails To Install in Fedora 33:

can't install nodejs-svgo:
  - nothing provides (npm(sax) >= 0.6.0 with npm(sax) < 0.7) needed by nodejs-svgo-0.7.2-7.fc32.noarch
  - nothing provides npm(js-yaml) needed by nodejs-svgo-0.7.2-7.fc32.noarch

If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.

If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks.

P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors.

P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/rawhide-gating/multi-builds/

Thanks!

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 33 development cycle.

Comment 6 Luya Tshimbalanga 2020-09-07 15:52:46 UTC
Taking over this package needed for svgo-inkscape. The current issue is missing dependency:
No matching package to install: 'npm(js-yaml)'
No matching package to install: 'npm(sax)'
Not all dependencies satisfied

Those dependent packages need review soon.

Comment 7 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2020-12-22 14:52:43 UTC

Comment 8 Ben Beasley 2021-01-20 18:01:19 UTC
Since others have done the hard work of adjusting this package to the new NodeJS guidelines (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Node.js/), I have taken the package and plan to maintain it. However, I will not be fixing problems in releases prior to Fedora 34 that are subject to the old (no bundling) guidelines. Reasonable PRs will be accepted, but I doubt anyone will want to try.

See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1871573 instead.
