Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

This will need to be fixed in katello, changing component.

Comment 5 Melanie Falz 2021-04-13 08:35:44 UTC
Tested with Satellite 6.8.4 and face the same issue ("Oops, we're sorry but something went wrong No hosts have been specified.")

Please start working on this issue!

Comment 6 Melanie Falz 2021-07-13 10:33:24 UTC
One year without any progress while the same issue is reproducible in Satellite 6.7 to Satellite 6.9.
May I get any comment on this?

Comment 7 Adam Ruzicka 2021-07-13 13:23:46 UTC
This BZ was aligned to Satellite 7.0 three days after it was opened. Now a year later, not even 6.10 is out yet. Unless someone challenges the target release, the chances of a fix landing in earlier release are quite low.

Comment 8 Andy Speagle 2022-01-29 18:57:37 UTC
Yes, seriously... let's get this into 6.9 or 6.10, please. It's a really annoying bug.

Comment 9 Lucy Fu 2022-02-14 17:26:37 UTC
It has been fixed since 6.10.

Related PRs:
https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/9321
https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/9440
https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/9572
https://github.com/Katello/katello/pull/9728

Except the last PR which is for Debian, the first 3 PRs have been all backported to 6.10.

Comment 10 Lucy Fu 2022-02-14 19:03:05 UTC
It was fixed via https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1905560.
