RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Matus Marhefka 2020-07-08 11:19:58 UTC
Description of problem:
The following rules contain older link to documentation for "Protecting GRUB 2 with a Password":
* grub2_password
* grub2_admin_username
* grub2_uefi_admin_username
* grub2_uefi_password

The link recently changed from https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/System_Administrators_Guide/sec-Protecting_GRUB_2_with_a_Password.html to https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/system_administrators_guide/ch-working_with_the_grub_2_boot_loader#sec-Protecting_GRUB_2_with_a_Password

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
scap-security-guide-0.1.50-6.el8.noarch

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. The links can be found in generated HTML guides.

Actual results:
Mentioned rules refer to link which is not working - https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/System_Administrators_Guide/sec-Protecting_GRUB_2_with_a_Password.html

Expected results:
Mentioned rules refer to a new working link - https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_enterprise_linux/7/html/system_administrators_guide/ch-working_with_the_grub_2_boot_loader#sec-Protecting_GRUB_2_with_a_Password

Additional info:

Comment 1 Gabriel Gaspar Becker 2020-07-08 12:23:21 UTC
This has been fixed upstream already: https://github.com/ComplianceAsCode/content/pull/5890

Comment 3 Matěj Týč 2020-08-21 09:33:37 UTC
There is one more PR to fix it for good: https://github.com/ComplianceAsCode/content/pull/5851

Comment 14 Matěj Týč 2020-08-25 15:36:20 UTC
The test result indicates that the original issue has been fixed, and a new one appeared:

https://beaker-archive.host.prod.eng.bos.redhat.com/beaker-logs/2020/08/45206/4520624/8725865/114729746/taskout.log

In this case, the defective link seems to be a false positive.
