Description Frank Ch. Eigler 2020-07-24 05:05:33 UTC
Even though upstream binutils 2.34 contains debuginfod support, the fedora 32/rawhide builds don't enable this feature. Adjusting the spec file with --enable-debuginfod, and the appropriate BuildRequires: lets readelf/objdump do the debuginfod lookups.

Comment 1 Nick Clifton 2020-07-24 19:00:12 UTC
Fixed in binutils-2.34-4,fc32 and binutils-2.34.0-10.fc33.

Comment 3 Frank Ch. Eigler 2020-07-24 19:12:50 UTC
Thanks for your quick work, Nick!

Please be aware that this might impact bootstrap builds for future distro generations. For elfutils, mjw has made possible an elfutils-bootstrap variant build that provides the debuginfod client solibs but as no-op stubs.
