Description Jason Montleon 2020-07-31 14:05:44 UTC
This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #1843996

I am copying this bug because:
Additional grammar improvements are in progress post 1.2.4:
https://github.com/konveyor/mig-operator/pull/395

CAM Operator text should be updated (see attached screenshot)

Remove second paragraph: "Prior to installing create the openshift-migration namespace ..."

Third paragraph could use some editing. Downstream docs and UI use the term "target cluster", not "destination cluster. Branding does not allow us to use "OpenShift". (All this will have to be rebranded for MTC, but that will have to wait for CAM 1.3.)

Suggested rewrite:

The Cluster Application Migration Operator installs the Cluster Application Migration (CAM) tool components.

After you have installed the Operator, you can install the CAM by creating a MigrationController CR.

By default, the Operator installs the following components on an OpenShift Container Platform 4 target cluster:

* velero and restic, to back up data on the source cluster and restore it on the target cluster
* mig-controller, to coordinate the backup and restore processes
* mig-ui, the CAM web console for managing migrations

If you experience issues or have feature requests, you can file an issue[link].

For more information, see the OpenShift Container Platform Migration Guide[https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/openshift_container_platform/4.4/html-single/migration/index].
