Description Peter Robinson 2020-08-02 14:49:18 UTC
SPEC: https://pbrobinson.fedorapeople.org/rust-parsec-interface.spec
SRPM: https://pbrobinson.fedorapeople.org/rust-parsec-interface-0.19.0-1.fc32.src.rpm

Description:
Parsec interface library to communicate using the wire protocol

FAS: pbrobinson

Comment 1 Jared Smith 2020-08-16 17:47:58 UTC
I seem to be missing some dependencies for this package:

DEBUG util.py:621: Problem 1: conflicting requests
DEBUG util.py:621:    - nothing provides crate(derive_arbitrary/default) = 0.4.5 needed by rust-arbitrary+derive-devel-0.4.5-2.fc33.noarch
DEBUG util.py:621:   Problem 2: nothing provides requested (crate(prost-build/default) >= 0.6.1 with crate(prost-build/default) < 0.7.0)
DEBUG util.py:621:   Problem 3: nothing provides requested (crate(secrecy/default) >= 0.6.0 with crate(secrecy/default) < 0.7.0)
DEBUG util.py:621:   Problem 4: nothing provides requested (crate(secrecy/serde) >= 0.6.0 with crate(secrecy/serde) < 0.7.0)

Comment 2 Jared Smith 2020-08-17 20:02:23 UTC
Looks like the version of rust-secrecy is newer than what this package wants.

Comment 3 Peter Robinson 2020-08-17 20:12:32 UTC
Yup, and I also fixed a couple of other issues:
* the s390x of secrecy failed and I missed it: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=49207122
* there was a issue with the rust-arbitrary build, fixed in rust-arbitrary-0.4.5-3.fc34

Comment 4 Peter Robinson 2020-08-17 21:10:35 UTC
SPEC: https://pbrobinson.fedorapeople.org/rust-parsec-interface.spec
SRPM: https://pbrobinson.fedorapeople.org/rust-parsec-interface-0.19.0-2.fc32.src.rpm

There's still one issue, but it's not directly involved with this package so one the below is fixed the above should be fine:

DEBUG util.py:621:  Error:
DEBUG util.py:621:   Problem: conflicting requests
DEBUG util.py:621:    - nothing provides crate(derive_arbitrary/default) = 0.4.5 needed by rust-arbitrary+derive-devel-0.4.5-3.fc34.noarch

Comment 5 Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2020-08-25 11:05:40 UTC
What's the status here?

Comment 6 Peter Robinson 2020-08-25 11:43:21 UTC
(In reply to Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek from comment #5)
> What's the status here?

Literally just added the extra review, see added dep.

Comment 7 Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek 2020-08-25 11:55:39 UTC
The other review is approved. Jared, the ball is in your court now.

Comment 9 Robert-André Mauchin 🐧 2020-08-25 22:54:30 UTC
Got this error trying to build:

error: failed to run custom build command for `parsec-interface v0.20.1 (/builddir/build/BUILD/parsec-interface-0.20.1)`
Caused by:
  process didn't exit successfully: `/builddir/build/BUILD/parsec-interface-0.20.1/target/release/build/parsec-interface-68bf9c316b4e2338/build-script-build` (exit code: 1)
--- stderr
Error: Os { code: 2, kind: NotFound, message: "No such file or directory" }

Comment 10 Robert-André Mauchin 🐧 2020-08-26 00:44:37 UTC
Ok so for rust-prost-build to do its Protobuffy office, you need to specify where to find the protoc binary:

%build
export PROTOC=%{_bindir}/protoc
%cargo_build

 - License ok
 - Latest version packaged
 - Builds in mock
 - No rpmlint errors
 - Conforms to Packaging Guidelines

I'll let Jared Smith approve it if it is good for him too.

Comment 11 Robert-André Mauchin 🐧 2020-08-26 00:50:04 UTC
I forgot:

You need to add a comment explaining what you have change with the fix-metadata patch, and add a link to n upstream PR adding these changes.

Comment 13 Peter Robinson 2020-09-08 17:50:04 UTC
> You need to add a comment explaining what you have change with the

I'm working in parallel to get those fixed, eg the 0.20.2 no longer needs it

Comment 15 Jared Smith 2020-09-11 10:26:04 UTC
Package is APPROVED.
